What’s everyone’s thoughts on the trusty old Merc 0405’s, There’s some up for sale local to us for a reasonable price. What We’re thinking is maybe grab one and drop it straight at Nambucca for a rear door delete, Then source a set of either McConnell Educator or Coach seats anything that’s seat belted to install and have engineered and into service. Then retire Vivian and put her on Club / historic rego, As our thought is maintain something that’s good to be thrown around town, Isn’t a pavement princess allowing us to take it on the occasional dirt road and doesn’t need a computer degree to fix while having seatbelts for the extra safety. The challenge will be making sure the seat belts get worn and let alone properly. Our thoughts are if we buy a stock unit we can customise it as needed then retire Vivian once it’s ready.

Let’s try this, Since We’ve been having issues with Insta and facebook not cross posting. We’re now using the Meta business app so here’s hoping that resolves the issue, As for Vivian the Volvo She’ll be out and about tomorrow heading to the Port Races. And yes the image may be AI generated, But how good do 2 Volgren units 33 years apart age wise look. Ones a diesel belching beast the other a ZEB. If We still had Vinnie with a dead motor and somewhat of an open cheque book how cool would it have been to convert Vinnie to a ZEB or at least Hybrid.

Good morning Sydney, It’s good to be “Home”. Next stop Sydney Olympic Park for the Bus and coach expo, But first coffee…. We got on the XPT at 12.25am and were kept up for the 6 hour duration by the passengers behind us chatting loudly and kicking the back of Our seat. So today’s mood will be heavily sponsored by caffeine and random sarcasm.

Just out of curiosity, Has anyone been having issues with their Insta / Facebook linked accounts. As We normally post via insta which then shares to facebook automatically, But for the past month it either hasn’t shared or doesn’t appear in insta as an option to also share to the page. It’ll be a pain having to do individual posts for each platform if we can’t rectify it.

Sydney Bus and Coach Expo: Is anyone else heading to this years Bus and Coach Expo? We went in 2022 enjoyed it and are heading down again this year, We’ll be heading there on the first being Wednesday the 15th of July to see what’s on offer. Don’t worry We’re not going to Traumatise Vivian the Volvo by taking her back to Sydney for the day, She’ll be staying happily parked on the farm. We’ll actually be jumping on board the XPT and hopefully one of the two for the trip is the “Candy” set.

Let’s do this, Next Stop Gladstone for a Wedding run. It’s going to be a bit of a late one, Not that it bothers Us. As in the 6 - 8 hours between runs, We typically park near the venue somewhere where there’s facilities (ie toilets, Shops etc). We then break out the camp mat, Snacks and iPad and We set ourselves up down the back of Vivian the Volvo, Watch a bit of YouTube or Prime and have a Nap so it’s not like we’re working a 12 - 16 hour day. It’s more like a 8 hour split shift which is well within our 12 hour “Work” day.
