The Aries Hyrail brand has been synonymous with high quality hyrail conversions for several decades with the company offering such conversions for a wide range of vehicles. Hyrail (sometimes spelt hi-rail or hirail) is the term used to describe a vehicle which can operate on road and rail. These vehicles are also known as road-rail-vehicles or RRVs. Aries Rail recently completed another of our three-way hyrail tipper trucks, this one being dual-gauge (standard and broad). Designed and engineered from the ground-up with on-rail applications in mind, the side doors can open to a near vertical position for effective ballast distribution along the shoulder.

Our Brisbane workshop includes a dual gauge rail test bed, allowing us to conduct twist testing and park-brake hold tests in a safe and compliant manner. The test bed has been carefully designed to ensure ease of wheel weight measurement on the most common RRV wheelbases, without needing to move the vehicle.

Aries Rail, located in Perth and Melbourne, Australia provide design, engineering and manufacturing solutions within the rail industry. The Aries Hyrail brand has been synonymous with high quality hyrail conversions for several decades as previously manufactured by Trac-wesT Machinery.

For many years Aries Rail have shown continued growth as a specialist rail company, building on the well-established Aries Hyrail brand.

In 2019 Aries Rail purchased a newly built workshop and office facility in Victoria, allowing the company to carry out Hyrail equipment installations and support a growing customer base in the Melbourne and Sydney areas.

Mobile service vehicles support hyrail vehicles around the country with regular on-site servicing carried out in most Australian states are territories.
