Not all copper is graded the same, and the condition of your copper can make a difference to your payout. 💰

🟠 Bare Bright Copper
This is the highest-value copper grade. It’s clean, stripped copper wire with no insulation, corrosion, coatings or other contaminants.

🟤 #2 Copper
Still valuable, but it may contain light solder, paint, coatings or minor contamination, reducing its overall copper purity.

So why does Bare Bright pay more?

Quite simply, the cleaner and purer the copper, the more valuable it is for recycling. Less contamination means less processing, which generally means a higher scrap rate.

💡 TIP: Keeping your copper clean, dry and separated from other metals can help you get the best possible price.
