There’s been a lot of noise lately around electric fleets and sustainability in logistics.
It reflects something bigger. Expectations are shifting.
Sustainability is no longer sitting on the sidelines as a reporting exercise. It is becoming part of how supply chains are evaluated and how partners are chosen.
For many in the industry, the challenge is practical: how do you improve environmental outcomes without compromising service, cost, or reliability? There is no single answer.
Progress is happening in small, meaningful ways. Smarter routing. Reducing empty kilometres. Updating and modernising fleets where it makes sense. Introducing new technologies carefully, not just quickly.
At Centurion, that is the focus. Embedding these changes into day-to-day operations so they work in the real world, not just on paper. Our Battery Electric Vehicle program is one step in that direction, alongside ongoing efforts to improve efficiency across the network.
Equally important is being able to show what is changing. Clear data and consistent reporting give customers a better understanding of their supply chain and where improvements are being made.
This space will keep evolving. There is still a lot to work through, and no one has it completely solved.
What matters is making steady, practical progress.
