This month, we’re taking you inside Perth’s oldest cemetery for Stories of the Past.

Developed with the National Trust WA, the experience explores the lives of the people who helped shape Western Australia - including pioneers, migrants, children, Aboriginal people and ordinary West Australians whose stories deserve to be remembered.

And if you have family roots in WA, you can even submit an ancestor’s name when booking. Where records allow, their story may become part of your walk.

A few “I had no idea!” moments.

We hosted:
• 8 private tours
• 30 public tours
• 59 high school students across two school excursions, including a Year 11 Geography class of 41 who came back for another walk with us

Plus:

👣 Our most-walked tour of the month was Perth’s Premier Pathways, heading out 15 times.

Stories of the Past begins at East Perth Cemeteries on Saturday 10 October, taking you inside Perth’s oldest cemetery to uncover the stories of the people who helped shape Western Australia.

Guided by Michelle, each walk explores the lives of pioneers, migrants, children, Aboriginal people and ordinary West Australians whose stories deserve to be remembered.

📅 Saturdays 10, 17, 24 & 31 October
⏰ 4–6pm
🎟 $59 | 25 people per walk
💛 $5 from every ticket supports conservation of the site through the National Trust (WA).
