⚓ A proper pen setup makes berthing easier before you even touch the controls.
Ayana fitted out at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club with a full set of heavy-duty pen ropes, weights, chains and rope retractors — set up to keep everything where it needs to be and make life easy for the deckies.
We also fitted vertical fenders to the finger chaffer posts and pylons, giving the boat plenty of protection and the skipper a much more forgiving setup when coming in and out of the pen.
Once everything is installed, we take the owners through the new setup with practical berthing sessions — going in and out of the pen, getting comfortable with the lines and fenders, and demonstrating the best way to handle that particular pen position in different conditions.
