I'am a knife maker and blacksmith from Murray Bridge SA. I have been knife making and blacksmithing on and off for about 8 years now as a hobby and have decided to start doing it full time and offering my products to a wider audience. i make hand forged gift items suck as Key rings, Bottle openers and ornaments aswell as offering custom orders. i also make a variety of knifes, for example, paring

So its been a long while since i have posted or completed a blade but i finally have. A little "blacksmiths knife", forged 1075 with an acid etch. Feels good to finally get something done, hopefully it is the first of many for this year.

Finally done some forge welding today. Started a 5 layer billet that im going to experiment with a bit. Also started on my first integral/ hidden tang knife, not sure what it is going to be yet but some kind of kitchen/ filleting/carving knife Frankenstein thing. Still have to forge that one a little bit thinner and even up the integral bolster but so far its looking good.

Finally got some ferric chloride so i could etch and finish off this cable knife today. Im pretty chuffed with how it turned out. First 2 pics are after the ferric etch, last 2 are after the coffee etch. The darker coffe etch looks better in person than that photo but i love the look of cable damascus.

Forge welded this piece of cable yesterday, it turned out pretty well. Its not finished yet just did a quick lemon juice...
