Thinking about polishing up your pride and joy for the 2027 Koroit Truck Show?

We’ll be following the updated National Show & Shine judging standards for 2027 — and there’s one BIG change every entrant needs to know before show day!

⚠️ IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR 2027 ⚠️

🚪 CLOSED DOORS • BONNETS DOWN 🚪

To keep judging fair, consistent and streamlined, all Working Class Age Groups and General Categories will be judged exactly as the trucks are presented on the outside:

👉 BONNET DOWN
👉 DOORS CLOSED

The ONLY exceptions will be trucks being considered for:

👑 WORKING RIG OF THE SHOW
⭐ ELITE 5

These top-tier contenders will receive the full treatment — inside, outside and under the bonnet.

🔹 WORKING CLASS AGE GROUPS & GENERAL CATEGORIES

Judges will score each truck across 7 areas:

1️⃣PRESENCE
Overall look, stance and visual impact of the rig.
2️⃣PAINT & BODY
Paintwork, colour use, finish and overall cleanliness.
3️⃣BULLBAR/BUMPER
Clean, shiny, polished and buffed to perfection.
4️⃣ALUMINIUM, CHROME & STAINLESS
All-round shine, finish and polish.
5️⃣UNDERCARRIAGE
Clean, tidy and well presented.
6️⃣TYRES
Clean, dressed and presented to show standard.
7️⃣EXTRA DETAILS & CUSTOM
Custom artwork, lighting, colour coordination, originality and overall presentation.

👑 WORKING RIG OF THE SHOW & ELITE 5

If you’re chasing the ultimate bragging rights, you’ll need to nail all 7 categories above, PLUS:

8️⃣ENGINE
The entire engine and engine bay must be spotless — zero grease, zero oil, quality paintwork and a pristine radiator and surrounds.
9️⃣INTERIOR
Neat, clean and orderly throughout.

And yes — the judges will be looking closely!

Under the seats, visors, ashtrays, shift boots, pedals, vents, gauges, door seals, door frames and paint/polish will ALL be part of the inspection.

A QUICK WORD FROM THE AUSSIE TRUCK DRIVERS CALENDAR COMMITTEE.

We shouldn’t have to say this to adults, but after some of the comments we’ve seen lately, we’re going to make our boundaries very clear.

Our calendar and the quiet shout initiative exists to support mental health, promote kindness and bring people within the transport community together. In our industry, we look after our own. That means supporting people, not tearing them down for entertainment.

If you choose to use our page to ridicule someone, attack their appearance, use homophobic or degrading language, bully, belittle or deliberately spread negativity, you will be removed and blocked. No debate.

And quite frankly, when you leave comments like that publicly, you don’t make the person you’re attacking look bad , you make yourself look like an absolute fool.

People notice. Employers check social media. Businesses notice names and people remember. Our industry talks. One petty comment made in a few seconds can leave an impression that lasts a hell of a lot longer.

More importantly, those comments can have a very real impact on the mental health of the people on the receiving end, including people who are actually standing up, putting themselves out there and trying to make a difference for others.

Our committee is made up entirely of volunteers. Between us, we donate enough hours every week to our not for profit organisation for it to be another full-time job on top of our already heavy commitments and families. We do it because we believe in this industry, in mental health support and in the people who stand beside each other when life gets hard.

What we do not have time for is nonsense.

We certainly don’t give up hours of our week so individuals sitting around in their spare time can use our page to be cruel, negative or disrespectful toward the very people who step up, support our cause, raise money and help us make a difference.

We’ll always applaud the people who show up, the ones who support each other. The ones who aren’t superficial. The ones with genuinely golden hearts.

You don’t have to agree with everything we post. You don’t have to like every photo. You don’t even have to follow us.

But if you are here, RESPECT IS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT.

Mental health support and bullying do not belong on the same page.

In this industry, we look after our own.
BE KIND, BE DECENT, OR BE GONE!
