Happy 61st birthday to me and what a gift.

What can I say? One of the best birthday gifts of all time.

I am so incredibly lucky to have secured the best team anyone could ask for. Yes I have worked pretty hard since taking over ownership of the agency in 2009.

Yes it has been tough at times , I have faced some pretty challenging times. None more than what I have faced in the last few years on a more personal level.

One of the most amazing things happened to me this week though. A little staff catchup, prior to me leaving for Cairns for our annual Owners and Managers Conference. Nic and I both had our birthdays while I was away. A good time for us to catch up and have celebration.

I was completely blown away and honoured to learn the team had nominated me for “Spirit Award” with Helloworld. Thank you Tanya and of course the entire team.

One by one they all read out the personal messages they had written. There were a lot of tears from many of us. (Especially me)

Well I may not win and I may not even make the finals, but in my mind and my heart, I have already won. The words that were written, the time and effort made. Seven pages of “about me”. I am truly humbled and incredibly moved by what they have all written. A team effort, confounded by clients, business development managers and of course Sophie and Koby from Ace Radio.

I really love my team. I know I support them, but in return they support me. The way it should be.

Hoi An, April’s last stop on her trip to Vietnam 🇻🇳

Vibrant Hoi An was to be the final stop of our trip. It is one of Vietnam's top cultural destinations, offering a mix of history, shopping, and relaxation.

The old town of Hoi An turns into a kaleidoscope of colorful lanterns at night, with river boats, restaurants and bustling night markets creating a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere.

We attended a cooking school that began with a shopping trip to the local market, followed by a demonstration of how to prepare the dishes. We then had the opportunity to cook the dishes ourselves before enjoying them for lunch. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Vietnam and Wide Eyed Tours with a farewell dinner on An Bang Beach located only 10 mins from Hoi An town.

Wide Eyed Tours were brilliant. Our itinerary was seamless, so this is definitely the way to travel around Vietnam. Thank you Wide Eyed Tours, it was a trip I will never forget ❤️

Hue was an unexpected surprise and a true cultural gem of Vietnam 🇻🇳✨

Recognised by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, Hue is regarded as the cultural and spiritual capital of the country and it certainly lived up to its reputation.

Our stay at Pilgrimage Village Resort & Spa was nothing short of divine, offering the perfect peaceful retreat after action-packed days exploring this fascinating destination. From weaving through Hue’s countryside on a motorbike tour, discovering hidden laneways, pagodas, royal tombs and local handicrafts, to visiting a traditional incense village, every moment was unforgettable.

We also explored the impressive Hue Citadel and Forbidden Purple City before enjoying a traditional Buddhist banquet lunch at a pagoda an incredible experience filled with scenery, history, culture and cuisine.

It’s easy to see why this tour is so popular with Wide Eyed clients and comes so highly recommended! 💛

Her journey began in the vibrant city of Hanoi, staying at the beautiful Fairmont Hanoi. The group explored the bustling streets by jeep tour, discovered hidden local gems and visited the famous Train Street an unforgettable experience! 🚂

Day 5 and it’s time to say goodbye to Phuket as we head up to Bangkok before the journey home ✈️🇹🇭

Today we flew on the brand new A321 Neo… and when I say brand new, this was only the aircraft’s SECOND ever flight! Such an incredible experience with Thai Airways.

Bangkok was the perfect final stop — full of culture, amazing food and of course, shopping for those who love it 🛍️ From beautiful resorts to bustling city streets, Thailand really does offer something for everyone.

This trip has been such an amazing experience and we’re so grateful to Thai Airways and Club Med for showcasing everything that makes Thailand so special.

Now it’s time to head home and get back to bringing our community closer to the world 🌏

Day 4 of our Phuket adventures..

Start the day with a beach walk. It was a hot one today and lots of people about swimming and surfing!🏄‍♂️

Today we changed it up, jungle style. We got to visit the most beautiful animals being looked after by the most incredible team of people.
This was another one of those special moments where you get to come up close and sometimes personal with the elephants.🐘
If you get the chance, this is a beautiful experience.

Ending the day with a white night party and of course some Moët 🥂 and fireworks 🎆
