Why do we celebrate King Charles’ birthday in June when he was born on November 14? June is the first month of the northern hemisphere summer and produces some of England’s warmest and best weather allowing UK citizens a chance to get outdoors and celebrate their King’s birthday. A useless piece of trivia I know 🙄😆🤣.

We all get a public holiday for it so happy bday to Charlie and thanks for a long weekend! Had a wonderful meeting this week with Malcolm from Lake Mac Brewing Co. We have a lot in common when it comes to our beliefs on the importance of community and the relationships we build within it. From our inception it has been our number one goal to give people a safe and reliable transport service so they don’t have to drink and drive. Malcolm and the staff at Lake Mac Brewing Co. share this same belief and we are working with them to give their customers safe transport to and from their venue. The one thing we stress most to our customers is pre-booking yourself a ride to wherever it is you’re going. We get so heavily booked on Fridays and weekends that sometimes we are unable to help people and we really dislike doing that. A lot of our customers book weeks in advance to guarantee themselves a ride so they can get to and from wherever they’re going safely. Please consider doing this because our bookings take priority over on the spot pickups.

We are looking for people to come on board and drive for us but finding people that want to work nights and weekends is near impossible. With unleaded fuel having now dropped below $2 a litre we have decided to remove the fuel levy on our unleaded fuel vehicles. Yes prices are still high compared to previously but we will absorb that loss for the time being. A fuel surcharge will still apply for all BUS jobs as it is a diesel vehicle and unfortunately diesel is still at a ridiculous price.

With the ANZAC weekend coming up we have taken a heap of bookings already. We have always suggested to our customers to book ahead whenever they have an event coming up as weekends are an extremely busy time for us. Have a safe ANZAC weekend everyone and share some of that ANZAC spirit around our community wherever you can. 🚕🚐

Just a quick update for all
our customers regarding the Fuel Levy.

We have decided to REDUCE the fuel levy from $3 to $1.50 for all
rides undertaken in our BYD and Kia. We’ve done this due to the government reducing the fuel excise which has brought fuel prices back down just a little so we wanted to pass those savings back onto our customers. We said from the beginning that this fuel levy was temporary and will cease as soon as the fuel levels and prices in Australia stabilise. Unfortunately diesel prices remain high and supply levels remain low so a small fuel levy percentage applies for all jobs using diesel fuel.
