Sly Boat Building & Repair Centre was established in 1965, as J.L.Sly Boat Builders and renamed Sly Boat Building & Repair Centre in March 2013. There is no job to big or to small that cannot be done at our Mordialloc Factory, along with limited services on site at Sandringham Yacht Club. Our services provided include:

Repairs to all types of boats: – OTB sailing boats, Trailer sailors, Powerboat

s & Keelboats. Spray painting, rigging services, welding, OTB Trolley manufacturing and full lifting facilities within our factory. New Boats built on site: – B14, Minnow, Sabre, Australian Sharpies. Agents for: –

ILCA/Laser, Tasar / 29er / 29erXS / 49er / 49erFX / Sabre / B14 and all associated parts. Mackay Trailers (double-deck racks & trolleys manufactured to order)

Our Newest International Race Officer!

Great news from World Sailing overnight, James Sly (Sandringham Yacht Club) has been accredited as an International Race Officer. This is a significant achievement, and reflects years of commitment in honing his expertise in a very challenging vocation.

James is the first Australian Race Officer to reach this level in over a decade, and the first Millennial!
