Today we added our 10th PBS A-Double combination to the fleet. Thanks to Graham Thomson Motors and Barker Trailers Pty Ltd for their ongoing partnership.
A-Double combinations have revolutionised transport in the eastern states, and the efficiency gains they generate have offset many of the taxes and surcharges added to Australian farmers by poor government policies.
These vehicles are an example of the private industry working to reduce cost, but also improving safety and productivity at every opportunity.

The Hall family are saddened to announce the passing of our founder Ian Alexander Hall (92) last Thursday 7th March.
Ian passed in the Shepparton Private Hospital where he spent his last 10 days with his wife Jeanette and the entire family alongside.

Ian began growing fruit at Ardmona in the early 1950s, but also operated a transport business delivering produce to Melbourne market, as well as cutting timber and transporting for Shepparton brick works using his International KB6.

Over time, Ian expanded his fruit growing, packing and export opperations, however in the late 1980s Ian chose to move away from fruit growing, and focus on cold storage.

Ian was a founding partner and director of both Kyabram and Merrigum Cold Storage, two of Victoria’s largest regional coolstore facilities. He held the position for 35 years.

Ian played sport at many of the Mooroopna and Tatura Clubs, and was a life member of Mooroopna Bowls Club

Most importantly Ian was a father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and he will be missed by our family, the Valley Pack team, and the Mooroopna community.
