What a fantastic day at the RAAF Museum Open Day yesterday ❤️

It was wonderful to see so many members of our community, young and old, come together to celebrate and support this incredible new addition to our region. The enthusiasm, stories and shared appreciation for our aviation and military history made the day truly special.

Congratulations to Mildura RSL Sub-Branch INC and Mildura 2 OTU Heritage Inc for their vision and dedication in creating this remarkable new space. A special acknowledgement also goes to the Dareton Men's Shed, whose members should be immensely proud of the extensive restoration work completed on the CAC Sabre aircraft, now standing proudly as the centrepiece of the museum.

We also extend our thanks to the RAAF 1FTS pilots for bringing along their magnificent PC-21 aircraft – the "red Ferrari of the sky" – which proved to be a highlight for visitors throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.

🚨 REMINDER – RAAF MUSEUM OPEN DAY THIS SUNDAY! ✈️

The Mildura RSL's newly relocated RAAF Museum at Mildura Airport will host a Grand Opening this Sunday, 31 May from 10AM to 1PM.

Come and explore the museum's impressive collection of aviation history, military memorabilia, uniforms, artefacts and the centrepiece of the collection – the iconic CAC Sabre aircraft.

As this event is being held within the airport precinct, a Special Event Zone will be in place. All visitors may be subject to bag inspections upon entry.

To help ensure a smooth and efficient entry process, we encourage visitors to keep bags and personal items to a minimum where possible.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you to this exciting community event and the museum's fantastic new home at Mildura Airport.

👀 A big BBJ dropped in earlier today and just arriving now are the “Grey Birds” the PC-21 aircraft from No. 4 SQN Williamtown!
