✈️ TRAVELLING TO EUROPE?

If you’re travelling on an Australian passport to the Schengen Area, there’s an important update to be aware of regarding the EU Entry/Exit System (EES).

From 6 September 2026, biometric registration is expected to be consistently applied at Schengen external borders. This means eligible travellers may have their passport scanned, facial image captured and fingerprints collected, with entries and exits recorded digitally.

Allow a little extra time at the border, particularly when entering Schengen for the first time, as biometric processing may take longer than the traditional passport stamp.
EES does not change visa requirements and is separate from ETIAS.

“Spent the morning exploring the beautiful university town of Oxford. The history here and learning about the scholars who have walked through these buildings and laneways is impressive.”

“Had an absolutely amazing day today at the Silverstone Grand Prix. Just incredible and such awesome seats at Copse A corner.”

“A spectacular day today filled with winding narrow roads as we explored the most quaint little town of Dunster. Our skilled coach driver navigated some of the steepest roads in England where we came across the pretty little seaside village of Lynmouth before ending the day with a stay at Bovey Castle!!”

“Well - what a final day in the UK. A stop off at Salisbury to visit their famous cathedral and the Magna Carta pages... just WOW!
And then there is the history behind it.
Construction started in 1220 which in itself is hard to comprehend.”

“Today was all things Buckingham Palace. Got there just in time to get a good spot to watch The Changing of the Guard which was about 2 hours total. Massive crowds and maybe a little sunburn but worth it. Also visited Harrods as part of my 22k step day”

“Drove out to the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park today, lunched at an amazing Michelin star restaurant, learnt about foraging then headed back to Cardiff for a quick hello to Paddington!”

“Today, sadly, we bid farewell to our stay at Bovey Castle but not before a falconry demonstration. We then headed through Dorset to the fascinating Athelhampton Tudor manor. Such interesting history here.”
