🌿💧 Exploring the Washpools – Towarri National Park 💧🌿

Just outside of Scone we found this little gem – the Washpools. A beautiful spot tucked away in Towarri National Park where the creek winds through and forms natural rock pools. Perfect for a dip, a picnic or just sitting back and soaking in the peace and quiet.

The water was cool and refreshing, the scenery was stunning, and apart from the sounds of birds and running water, it was beautifully still. Such a relaxing way to spend the day – highly recommend if you’re chasing somewhere calm and a little off the beaten track. ✨

Cool nights, relaxing days — exactly what we needed.

Ponderosa is tucked away in the Nundle State Forest, just an hour and a half from Tamworth. It’s one of those spots where time slows down. Surrounded by tall pines and crisp mountain air, it’s the perfect place to switch off, rug up, and just breathe.

Whether you’re into exploring, chilling by the fire, or just soaking up the quiet, this place hits the mark.
Definitely a winter favourite for us ❄️🔥

🏕️ First Weekend Away – Lake Keepit
We kicked off our van adventures with a local gem — Lake Keepit, staying at Reflections Holiday Park on the bush camping side.

💰 Cost: $33 per night, 2 people Bush camping site
🌿 Vibe: Peaceful bush setting with stunning lake views
🧼 Facilities: Clean, tidy, and well-maintained, there is toilet facilities .
⭐ Verdict: A great, budget-friendly spot — perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Well worth a visit!
☀️We’re here often in the summer with our boat, so it felt like the perfect place to start our EZY Weekenders journey. It’s always a winner — whether you’re camping, boating, or just chilling by the water.
