The 'busy' as it is known in the removal industry will be at an end soon enough and while some removal companies may reduce rates based on supply and demand, it's basic economics, many won't. Don't get caught paying too much for your move. How? It's simple. Get multiple quotes and compare the prices (compare apples with apples), understand what you are paying for (removal, storage, insurance) and don't be afraid to ask questions (there are no stupid questions).

Friday Freebie: Most removal companies are booked 2-3 weeks in advance. The busy (mid-Nov to mid-Feb) reputable companies are book up to 4 weeks ahead. Why, because all government moves happen at this time of the year. Army, police, teachers, nurses etc. Don't get stuck with second rate removal companies. Get your ducks in a row early.
