At Study Trek Australia, we create meaningful, safe, and unforgettable study tour experiences for high school students from around the world. 🌏✈️

With over 20 years of experience in the international education and exchange industry, we understand what makes a study program truly life-changing — from carefully vetted host families to supportive, structured learning environments. We specialise in short-term study tours (1–10 weeks) where students experience Australian education, culture, and everyday life. Each program is designed to help students improve their English, build confidence, and develop life skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Unlike exchange programs, Study Trek Australia focuses solely on study tours — flexible, non-reciprocal programs that welcome groups of students to learn, explore, and connect safely under our care.

“We thought we were welcoming one student… but we gained so much more.” 🏡🇯🇵🇦🇺

One of the most rewarding parts of hosting an international student is discovering that cultural exchange goes both ways.

Narelle and her family welcomed a Japanese student into their home through Study Trek Australia—and in return, they shared everyday Australian life while learning something new together. From life on their country property to making homemade sushi for school lunches, the experience became a treasured memory for the whole family. 💙

At Study Trek Australia, our Australian host family program creates safe, meaningful connections where students feel at home, and families experience the joy of welcoming another culture into their lives.

⭐ Thank you, Narelle, for opening your home and heart.

What happens when your child arrives in Australia for a study tour? 🇦🇺✈️

For parents, sending a child overseas for an Australian study tour can come with plenty of questions.

Who welcomes them?
Where will they stay?
What happens when they start school?
Who supports them while they are away?

At Study Trek Australia, we understand that knowing what to expect can make the experience feel more reassuring for both students and parents.

From arrival and settling into a host family, to discovering an Australian school, practising English and experiencing Australian culture, each part of the journey is designed to help students feel supported as they explore, learn and grow. 🌏💙

An international study tour should give students the opportunity to experience Australia while giving parents confidence that their child's journey is supported along the way.

A warm welcome can make all the difference. 🏡🇯🇵🇦🇺

For Japanese student Yuriko Koide, her Australian study tour became even more meaningful through the kindness and support of her host family. 💛

From exploring different places after school to playing games together at night, Yuriko experienced the everyday moments that make a homestay truly special. Even when language was a challenge, gestures, smiles and shared experiences helped her feel connected. ✨

At Study Trek Australia, we believe cultural immersion goes beyond the classroom. Living with a welcoming Australian host family gives students the opportunity to practise English, experience everyday Australian life, build confidence and create connections that last beyond their study tour. 🌏

One of the most cherished parts of studying abroad is gathering around the dinner table with an Australian host family! 🏡🎒

Our student explorer enjoyed a delicious Aussie classic—freshly baked meat pies in many flavours, served alongside crispy hot chips. Homestay dinners give international students a warm, comfortable space to unwind, try iconic local foods, and practice everyday conversational English in a cozy home environment.
