Every QantasLink Airbus A220 is named after Australian native wildlife, and the final nine names have now been chosen by our QantasLink teams from a shortlist suggested by Australians.
 
Who better to help reveal them than the next generation of aviation enthusiasts?
 
With 29 A220s joining our fleet, we’re now past halfway, following the arrival of our 15th aircraft, VH-X4O ‘Saltwater Crocodile’.

✈️ A new chapter for QantasLink in Western Australia.

Our first Embraer E190, VH-E9A named ‘Exmouth’, has officially arrived in Perth after an incredible 20-hour flying journey from Norwich, UK via stops in Bulgaria, Tajikistan, India, Malaysia and Broome.

As the first of up to 14 E190s joining our fleet, these aircraft will bring enhanced reliability, improved fuel efficiency and a more comfortable experience for customers traveling across WA.

The aircraft will receive fresh cabins including fast & free Wi-Fi, USB A/C charging, larger seats as well as Qantas Economy Plus, giving customers more legroom, priority boarding, and priority access to overhead baggage space.

A massive congratulations and thank you to all the teams involved in this major milestone of our fleet renewal program.

This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating a special aviation family story.

After more than 40 years flying Qantas customers across the globe, Captain Cornay Sinac touched down on Australian soil one last time. 

But the most memorable part of the journey was still to come. Waiting to greet him after his last landing were his two sons Joe and Noah - who both work at Qantas as a pilot and apprentice engineer respectively - making his retirement homecoming one the Sinac family will never forget.

Thank you, Captain Sinac for your incredible four decades of service, carrying hundreds of thousands of customers safely to their destinations all around the world.

It’s time fur one last flight for the paw-some Casper 🐾
 
Tim’s Assistance Dog is hanging up his collar after 143 flights by his side, helping make every journey as smooth and accessible as paw-sible. 
 
Casper has shown that air travel is possible for people travelling with assistance dogs, and we are proud to partner with Assistance Dogs Australia to promote the amazing work they are doing in this space. 
 
Now this Frequent Flyer can swap take-offs for lie-downs, lounge visits for lounging around, and busy travel days for plenty of treats and belly rubs.

Enjoy retirement, Casper. You’ve earned every tail wag.
