Hello everyone. Just a bit of an update from my end. I moved into my new workshop last week and you can now find me upstairs at 41 Edward Street, Brunswick - still by appointment only but generally in 10-5 Mon-Fri and 10-2 Saturday. Enter through the black door on the right side of the warehouse and wander up the stairs and you’ll find me! I want to extend huge thank you to Matthew and everyone for both giving me a spot to work out of and making me feel very welcome while slowly getting back to it. Also sharing space and ideas with legend and the other Echo Tone repair shop guys the last couple months has been a real joy & novelty after working by myself for the last 18 years. I look forward to ducking back in there to build some guitars in his wood shop and *unironically* listen to Tool and finish the day with a VB. Anyway, thanks again to everyone that supported in the many ways that softened the landing on this whole saga! xx

I just wanted to reach out to say thanks and update people on things. I’m very glad to have that month in the rear view mirror. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out and offered support in whatever way they were able. It has both softened the blow of the whole disaster and shown me levels of kindness I wasn’t really prepared for.

I’d had a number of very sweet offers of places to setup a temporary workspace and am really pleased to say I’m now in a position to take on all your repair and setup work upstairs at in Northcote until I find a permanent space. The absolute legends here have carved out a sunny corner for me to get back to business and i’m ready to break in some embarrassingly clean tools.

I’ll still be working by appointment only so give a call or text before dropping by but I should be in ~10-5 Monday to Friday and 11-3 Saturday.

I don’t know where to start. Woke up to a phone call at 3:50am from the police saying someone had intentionally torched the burger shop next door. It quickly spread and everything is gone. Everything in studio is gone. I thought our little compound was safe but wasn’t counting on arson. I can stomach losing 20 years of my tools, parts and timber, but knowing I had a number of your instruments in the racks absolutely devastates me. I’m still processing it all. If one of your instruments is with me, please know I’ll be in touch as soon as I can. For those asking, yes there will be a fundraiser at some point. And I plan to be back in business, in some way, as soon as I can. For now I’m just fu***ng heartbroken.
