17 months on the road, 57,000 kms travelled and today we finished our adventure and made it home. What an incredible experience: the people, the places, the new perspectives gained and such a huge appreciation of this beautiful country. So many places we’ve been, so many more we haven’t seen. Maybe one day..

Our final stop and a much needed catch up with cousins in beautiful Port Stephens. Five days in a house, with a powerful shower and comfy beds was a treat and so began our transition back into normal life. Sydney here we come..

What a fabulous final camp for our Big Oz Adventure. We hadn’t been to Seal Rocks for years and it did not disappoint - the awesome Treachery Camp to base ourselves, sand dunes to explore, stunning beaches, a pirate island adventure and hike up to the lighthouse. To top it off we were joined by Sammy, Mike and their gorgeous girls which made it all the more special. Looking forward to more adventures in the new year!

Our stay at Myall Lakes was an unexpected surprise. Beautiful spot to camp right on the water perfect for the SUP and for the kids to jump off the jetty. Resident kangaroos and goannas and nice little ferry ride over to the other side to look out to the ocean.

Our two weeks travelling with the Jones’ sadly came to an end in Evan’s Head. It has been so much fun spending some quality time with these guys and loved that we got to celebrate both Mark and Baby Lola’s birthday together. Cousin love ###

A last minute decision to explore this region before we left QLD found us staying in the cute town of Canungra at the base of Mount Tamborine. A stunning location and we just couldn’t resist visiting The Fox and Hounds for some British nostalgia while we were there.

So good to drop in for a catch up with the Brisbane cousins on our way to our next destination. Looking forward to more catch ups in the new year.

Maleny magic! What a wonderful few days spent with special friends and appreciating all that this incredible community has to offer. Very tempting indeed!

We loved our stay at Kookaburra Farmstay - the most gorgeous animals, great company and spectacular camp oven dinners Yum! Looking forward to more catch ups please!

The first stop of many with this crazy bunch as we continue our travels through the Sunshine Coast and back into NSW. Sister hugs, cousin love, campfire dinner, birthday cake for Uncle Mark and another night with lovely Luke.

Wow! Such a beautiful spot and one that we’ve said we have to return to sometime. The boys loved discovering all the sea creatures when the tide was out and we all loved the beautifully calm water for swimming and paddling when the tide was in. Stunning coastal walks and the most gorgeous sunsets. The Paperbark walk was a hit with the boys too- so much so that we had to do it twice! (Jack’s request). A last minute visit from the lovely Luke Malcahay lmade our week just perfect.

Loved Yeppoon and the surrounding area. It has the most beautiful infinity pool on the beachfront ( which is free!) and stunning coastline surrounding it. We visited Great Keppel Island while we were here - definitely one of my favourite islands on our trip- and enjoyed a drive up to Byfield National Park where the boys splashed in the rock pools.
