Chooks Sand & Gravel is taking a short break Next Thursday the 18th of June to investigate the important questions in life:

🤔 How many dagwood dogs is too many?
🎠 Can adults still ride the merry-go-round?
🏆 Is it possible to win a giant stuffed toy on the first try?

To find out, we'll be closed for the Show Holiday on 18 June.

Don't worry we'll be back to our normal hours from 6.00am to 3.00pm on Friday 19 June, hopefully we can answer these life questions for you!

Come down and see our crew, next week before or after show day and we can get a load sorted for you, from a truck load to a bucket full we have you covered at Chooks!

🐍Delayed Delivery - Due to Unexpected Road Inspections!🐍

Our sand truck driver experienced an unexpected traffic controller today... and it wasn't from the council!

Just as he was heading out to deliver a load of sand, a rather confident snake decided the middle of the road was the perfect place to soak up the sunshine.

Being the gentleman he is, our driver patiently waited while His Slitheriness conducted a full road inspection!

The sand arrived a little later than planned, but everyone got where they needed to be safely—including our scaly supervisor.

Just another day in Australia, where even the wildlife thinks it can stop a truck and hold up deliveries! 🇦🇺🐍

Did you know the difference between the kinds of sands we offer?
Here at Chooks Sand & Gravel we can offer screened and unscreened sand variants.
Our screened sand variants have been sifted to remove debris, larger rocks as well as provide a more stable, structurally sound and level base for your projects. Whereas our unscreened sand variants are less expensive, include natural matter/ debris and larger stones making it more suitable for larger scale filling or levelling work where constancy/ appearance is less critical.

On ANZAC Day, we honour the men and women who gave so much for the freedoms we live with today. Their bravery, resilience, and mateship will never be forgotten.

We reflect not only on the past, but also on the enduring legacy they leave behind a reminder of the strength found in unity and the importance of looking out for one another.
