First post back for 2026! We are off to a good start for the year with equipment moves increasing. With a refreshed team after the new year break they're chomping at the bit to get gear moving.

We've got 4 trucks now permanently based out of our Port of Brisbane depot with trailing equipment ranging from heavy duty drop decks to quad and dolly configerations.

Sort It Haulage is seeking an experienced HC/MC Float/Low Loader Operator to join our small family business.

On offer is our late model equipment, prime movers and trailers, 5 day working week with occasional away work, flexible rostering and flex time salary. 1 truck, 1 driver.

We are seeking an energetic professional with a like minded "can do" attitude who takes pride in themselves and their equipment. Mechanical background, forklift license and b-double experience is advantageous, however not required for the right candidate.

We require an experienced HC/MC Float/Low Loader Operator to join our small Family business operating late model equipment. Our ideal applicant will possess the following skills;
• Be extremely reliable and trustworthy.
• Be ready to commit to a long term position.
• Be neat, tidy, energetic and a good communicator.
• Have a “Can Do” attitude and relate well to customers and staff alike.
• MUST have strong basic mechanical skills and experience with earthmoving and/or agricultural equipment.
• Experience operating Tri / Quad floats, B double experience
• Experienced driving Volvo & KW with Road Ranger gear box.
• Have experience and be able to demonstrate load restraint of equipment for transport.
• Experience driving/operating a broad range of equipment including earthmoving and agricultural equipment.
• Advantageous to hold equipment tickets & Licenses
• Advantageous to hold a forklift License
• Be available to work occasional weekends ( 1 in 8 on average)
• Be willing to assist rest of team with whatever comes our way.
• Be willing to assist / carry out basic maintenance work and equipment cleaning as required.

We carry out mostly local work with occasional trips away overnight.
