At Michael Mammen - LGA Rideshare Service, the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of everyone in my vehicle is a priority — including passengers, pets, and driver.

To meet OH&S requirements and maintain a clean, safe environment, we ask all passengers to please note the following:

• Passengers must not be excessively intoxicated to the point where safety, behaviour, or hygiene becomes a risk
• Good personal hygiene is required for all trips
• Any accidents involving bodily fluids (including urination or vomiting) create a health and safety risk and may result in cleaning fees or refusal of service
• Aggressive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated

These measures are not about judgement — they are about protecting everyone’s health, safety, and dignity, and ensuring the vehicle remains suitable for all customers, including families and pet-friendly trips.

Way off topic but a fun bit of trivia about my last name

The history of the Mammen axe.
The Mammen Axe is a 10th-century iron throwing axe found in a wealthy Viking burial chamber in Denmark (c. 970–971 AD), renowned for its intricate silver-inlaid engravings. It serves as a masterpiece of Viking art, depicting a mix of pagan (Yggdrasil/Gullinkambi) and Christian (Tree of Life/Phoenix) motifs, and defined the "Mammen style".
Key Details of the Mammen Axe:
Origin: Excavated from a barrow near Mammen, Viborg, Denmark.
Design & Style: The axe is adorned with inlaid silver in the "Mammen style" (approx. 950–1030 AD), featuring ornate, stylized animal and plant motifs.
Motifs:
Side A: Features a plant/tree motif, interpreted as the Norse tree of life, Yggdrasil, or the Christian Tree of Life.
Side B: Features a bird-like figure, believed to be the rooster Gullinkambi (Norse mythology) or a Phoenix (Christian symbol of rebirth).
Function: It is a small, one-handed axe, likely used for throwing or as a prestigious close-combat weapon.
Historical Significance: The grave it was found in indicates a person of high status. It is now located in the National Museum of Denmark.

A few people have asked how my pricing works, so I wanted to be clear and upfront 👋

The fares you see on my board are based on a simple $1 per kilometre guide. It keeps things easy to understand, fair, and consistent for everyone — no surprises, no confusing calculations.

That said, they’re suggested prices only.

Every trip is different. Some runs are quick and straightforward, others involve waiting time, detours, pets, multiple stops, or helping passengers who need a bit of extra care. I also understand that not everyone’s circumstances are the same, especially in a regional area like ours.

That’s why my pricing is flexible and negotiable. I’m always happy to have a conversation and agree on a fare that feels fair for both of us. Customers are welcome to suggest what they’re comfortable paying — I’m not about locking people into rigid rules.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple:
• Keep rides affordable
• Stay transparent
• Support locals
• Get people (and pets 🐾) where they need to go safely

Some days running a small local business feels solid. Other days, it feels uncertain.
I’ve built Michael Mammen - LGA Rideshare Service on being reliable, local, and pet-friendly — showing up for medical trips, local runs, and people who just need a hand getting where they’re going.

Right now, like a lot of small operators, the future isn’t guaranteed. But the commitment is still there. I’m still here, still driving, still doing my best for the Central West community that’s supported me so far.
