‼️Do not fly your drone‼️

You must not fly your drone during emergency operations. Flying your drone near emergencies can cause safety hazards to response teams in the air and on the ground.

For your safety and others, do not fly your drone during:
🔸 Natural disasters – bushfires, floods, electrical storms and cyclones
🔸 Emergency operations – traffic accidents, tactical response, training or rescue operations.

Emergency services are safely operating drones to assist with flood rescues and resupply.

Good morning to our followers in SEQLD and NENSW,

With the upcoming weather event, there’s a possibility of power and communication disruptions. During floods, it can be challenging to locate residences, especially in more rural areas, as floodwaters can obscure road addresses, driveways, front gates, and property lines.

We strongly recommend using the Emergency Plus app to obtain your home’s GPS coordinates before the event. This will ensure you can be accurately located in case of an emergency, as phone reception and power may be impacted.

Stay safe and prepared! 🚁

Hello Community,

The documentary ‘Washed Away’ based on the 2022 floods was officially launched on Thursday night.

We understand that this is a highly emotional topic and suggest those still dealing with trauma to maybe sit this one out. ❤️

All profits are going straight back into the community by way of housing and supporting part 2 of this documentary called ‘high and dry’ with a primary focus on those still waiting on government assistance.

The purpose of this documentary is to get the region back in the spotlight and keep working on funding for those in need.

The team that have put this together have worked tirelessly and with so much integrity to truly show as much of the story as possible.

There are hundreds of stories that we know of alone that didn’t make it in to this film, but just know that if you helped out during this time In any way, you will never be forgotten.

The community we are all apart of is a force to be reckoned with and it was an honour to be just a small part of this community led response.

Please share as every view is money back into our community,

Hosted by Mick Fanning, join co-directors Stu Mackay & Terry Webster at Balter Taproom, Currumbin for the official launch of Washed Away!

There's a bit of smoke blowing towards the Lismore area - it's from the hazard reduction burn at Evans Head. The winds are currently from the SSE, which means it's heading towards Lismore and beyond.
