SH*TBOX UPDATE - WE MADE IT!

After over 4000km on some of Australia’s toughest roads, we actually made it!
From muddy roads in the dark, to bulldust covered tracks, to water crossings that definitely weren’t meant for us, we honestly can’t believe we’re in one piece. Van survived too!
This rally was the toughest one yet they said, with nearly 30 cars lost along the way. Happy the van survived, somehow.
Easily one of the hardest things we’ve done, and i’m so happy to say we did it while raising over $6000 for the Cancer Council!

SH*TBOX UPDATE - DAY 5

Actually a cruisey day! 900+ km to Daly Waters without much fuss, still took us over 12 hours with the state of these cars but almost our best day yet!
We have a sketchy drive to Timber Creek coming up, with a fair few water crossings (allegedly). We will see how we go!

SH*TBOX UPDATE - DAY 2 + 3 + 4 UPDATE
WOWEE

We’ve had no phone service for most of this trip, so it’s been hard letting people know we’re still alive! This van of ours is really being a sh*tbox.
Day 2 we went from Parachilna to Mt William and had plenty of trouble along the way! The roads were wet, muddy, and overall a horrible time. But also at the end we ended up having to tow a Falcon along the last stretch so it isn’t all terrible for us at least 🤣
Day 3 we went to Mt Dare and we ended up being the last ones back, anytime this van hits water it still dies so water crossings aren’t particularly the funnest parts for our trip.
Thankfully now day 4 was our easiest, with a dry dirt track getting us from Mt Dare to Alice Springs. Not much to report here, none of us broke down, first time getting to camp before dark!

SH*TBOX UPDATE - DAY 1
WE BROKE DOWN

We somehow made it to Parachilna, not without a few hiccups along the way. Multiple cars broke down, including ours 🤣
Someone (me) sent it a bit too hard through a water crossing and managed to feed the carby a bit too much water. Not to worry! We got towed out of the water and have it all fixed now, got to camp after dark but it is what it is 🤙

SH*TBOX UPDATE - DAY 0

Hi Everyone! We’ve dragged the mighty sh*tbox all the way from Launceston to Adelaide without a single drama. The only hiccup was the fridge being uncooperative 😅, but we sorted that out (thank god). We have also grabbed a couple of extra jerry cans because the van is definitely a bit thirstier than we first thought. But so far so good!

Darwin run kicks off tomorrow. Let’s see how long this thing holds together.
Also how good does the van look! Thank you to Currantly Printing what a great job! It’s a bit dirty from the drive here though. Sorry!

Today we said goodbye to both Brad and Casey who have been there since almost the beginning. Appreciate everything we’ve done together and the way they’ve always shown up. Nothing but respect.
