Alfabs Transport recently relocated tyre retreading business, FlexTred from Mossvale to their new home in Kurri Kurri. Our transport team moved 14 loads of tyres, specialised equipment and autoclaves.

Our team coordinated cranage, scheduling and the jigsaw puzzle to maximise space and minimise loads! Great job team Alfabs!

One of our favourite projects for 2022 is well and truly on-the-go this week with multiple deliveries of bridges ranging from 7-12 metres long and 6.2 metres wide to the wind farm in Rye Park, Yass!

A total of ten bridges have been fabricated in our workshop at Kurri Kurri by our fabrication team, installed by one of our Site Services teams and, of course, 🥁🥁🥁 transported by our Transport & Logistics crew. Two delivered last week🌞, three delivered yesterday🌞, two delivered today 🌧 and only three left!

Dust in, dust out! Here we are getting a fresh load of dust for our bat bag production (tanker in the background) and our finished bat bags heading out the door on our own transport! Dust in, dust out!

It's not quite a clean sweep with 26 tonne coming in and 24 tonne on the way out but it's close!

Meet our people: Candice - Tilt Tray Driver

Candice is one of our Tilt Tray Drivers and is learning fast! So, what made Candice choose driving as a career? "The idea of being in trucks and out on the open road is something I've always enjoyed ever since I was a child, now I get to do it as an adult."

When Candice isn't driving trucks she is having a good time with friends, enjoying time at home or taking her much loved dog on an adventure.

Working at Alfabs and moving scissor and boom lifts is helping Candice overcome her fear of heights! But what is Candice's favourite thing about working at Alfabs? "Every day is something different so you get to see so much. But also everyone has been giving me so much help and support to help me learn new things. It's amazing."

Candice has been a wonderful and very fun addition to our Alfabs Transport team 😊 Thanks Candice, it's great to get to know you 🙂

Have you been wondering what the Alfabs step deck trailer has been upto lately? We have been moving access gear, scaffolding and telehandlers to Hope Estate, Orica and many of our other valued clients!

So why use a step deck trailer? A step deck (aptly named because of the step 😂) is used for high loads because the step makes the deck level lower than a standard trailer so you can fit higher loads without breaching the 4.3m height restrictions on Australian roads.
