Due to emergency shipments and increased stockpiles. Australia's national fuel supply is stable at Level 2 of the National Fuel Security Plan,

- 44 days of petrol available
- 36 days of diesel available

While fuel flow remains normal, prices, especially for diesel, continue to be volatile, reflecting ongoing market fluctuations.

Fuel prices are expected to rise significantly from June 2026 across Australia.

We are seeking Highly Skilled and QUALIFIED HEAVY VEHICLE (HV) MECHANIC to join our dynamic team.

You will be based full time at the depot in Eagle Farm QLD 4009, which sits beside our Brisbane office.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
Our Heavy Vehicle (HV) Mechanic have the opportunity to work on Kenworth, Mack and DAF trucks.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager – Steve Hansen.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BRING:
• A Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification, a Light Vehicle mechanical qualification is a plus+
• Current Driver's Licence and HR licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience working with truck and light vehicle brands
• Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
• A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
• A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset

- Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz
- Government Intervention (Australia) - Excise Rate halved for 3 months (expected to end in June 2026)

- Despite the recent drop, fuel prices still remain sharply higher than before the conflict, with predictions that they may take months or even years to fully return to pre-war levels.
- The situation remains volatile, and analysts warn that any further escalation in the Middle East could quickly reverse these gains.
