Caboolture Seat Covers went that extra mile to say thanks to one of our guys this holiday period. What a bunch of legends.

(P.s if you want great seat covers; We run their heavy duty seat covers on most of our couriers vehicles, and they're about the only covers that aren't in tatters after a month!)

What a month!
Firstly, a huge thankyou to our team! Everyone went above and beyond this year to deliver Christmas to our customers. Don't think for a second I don't notice the volume of work you guys get through.

Secondly, our customers. Having customers who you enjoy working with makes all the difference when it comes to grinding it out everyday.

It has been a year of ups and downs; a few key team members moved on to pursuit new beginnings, however, this also gave new opportunities to others and brought in new employees that have been such great additions.

In the last 12 months; we moved more freight than we have previously, we added services for key customers, we made operational changes to give customers a better service, we moved premises at both Kingaroy and Caboolture, we added a few more vans and trucks to the fleet and we forged relationships with some cool new customers and new suppliers.

We will only be closed on public holidays, however our remote services will be scaled back a little while parts of the crew take some time off.

Welcome to the fleet! We took delivery of this new DAF LF290 from Matt at Brown and Hurley on Thursday. Sporting a 2 tonne tail gate lifter, you'll see the guys cruising around Brisbane taking care of pallet work and the heavy lifting jobs!

Our fleet in Brisbane will soon have a new rig to help with the heavy lifting!
This Daf LF from Brown and Hurley will be in the body shop next week for a 12 pallet curtain sider and full back tailgate lifter. Pallet distribution skills will be on point.

Qualifications Required:

-Manual Car License (Minimum)

-Ability to obtain a clean Australian Federal Police Background Check

-Ability to provide proof of double covid-19 vaccination

-Ability to provide clean driving history

-Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Favourable Qualifications: Fork Lift ticket

Special Demands: Fit and healthy, basic geographical knowledge of Moreton Bay region able to function in a fast paced environment, capable and comfortable to drive vehicles ranging from 1t vans through to 4.5t trucks.

Job Duties: As part of the team you will be required to sort, load and deliver freight of varying size and weight to private address and business customers using a mobile device. You will be required to follow all safety procedures, including conducting pre-start checks of your vehicle. You will be required to keep your work vehicle washed and tidy inside. You will be required to fill out any necessary paperwork and answer any queries from the admin staff.

Skills or traits of a successful applicant: You will be the front line contact and image to our customers, the successful applicant will possess good communication skills, be clean and well presented. Exhibit a willingness to learn and get stuck in to be part of a team. They will be able to work autonomously without constant supervise. A new member to the team does not need prior experience within the transport industry, or to be extremely tech savvy, but must enjoy being outdoors, with a basic level of fitness and health. On the job training will be provided, with support from other staff members where required.

In light of flooding throughout South East Queensland we regret to make the decision that it is not viable for us to operate our usual services tomorrow, Monday the 28th.

We still have a truck and driver stuck in Kilcoy, with the D'Aguilar Highway still cut in places, this restricts our main linehauling route significantly.

We always need to keep in mind the safety of employees, and to ensure they can go home to their families rather than being stranded when waters rise.

Stay safe and dry, we hope to be back to normal operation on Tuesday to start recovering freight that has been delayed due to this weather.

Big thanks goes out to those transport workers who are cracking on in this weather - especially after the workload and pressure they have sustained over the last 2 years.
This is a photo from Dave who was stuck outside of Kilcoy yesterday afternoon with a number of other trucks on his way back to Caboolture from Kingaroy. He has made it into town late last night, but now stuck in Kilcoy township waiting for the D'aguilar Highway to re-open so he can get home.
