🚛 Did you know that any directions given by Heavy Vehicle Pilots and Traffic Es**rt Wardens are lawful and must be followed?

Heavy Vehicle Pilots and Traffic Es**rt Wardens accompany oversize and overmass (OSOM) vehicles travelling through our highways and byways, thus playing a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe passage of oversized loads across the state.

Pilot vehicles are a common sight on our roads; however, you may not have encountered a Warden given they are only required when the OSOM vehicle and its load exceed 5.5 metres in width and/or 40 metres in length.

You might be wondering at this point, what’s the difference?

🟡 Pilot Vehicles are easily recognised by a large yellow reflective sign with the words “Oversize Load Ahead” on the roof as well as amber and white flashing warning lights.

🔴 Traffic Es**rt Vehicles have red and blue flashing lights on the roof and have “Traffic Es**rt” on both sides of the vehicle, with most vehicles also now displaying a blue and white sign with the words “Oversize Es**rt”.

🟡 Pilots are used to provide advanced warning to other road users that an oversize vehicle is approaching and to facilitate the safe movement of the oversize vehicles by directing traffic in their vicinity.

🔴 Wardens are responsible for the management of OSOM moves including preparing a journey management plan, submitting Green Light Corridor Requests, and conducting pre-movement safety and compliance checks in line with permit requirements.

So, if you see the flashing lights 🚨 of a Pilot or Traffic Es**rt Vehicle, slow down, move left, and be prepared to pull off the road and stop if necessary.

Remember, always follow directions given by Heavy Vehicle Pilots and Traffic Es**rt Wardens, as the directions are being given for your safety.

We are setting up at the Nutrien Ag Solutions Hay and Silage Field Day!

Starting at 9am Friday 16/09, the day is jam packed with events - please see the flier in the comments section of this post!

Our good friends at AFGRI Albany have slipped a brand new John Deere Tractor and McHale Baler on the back for everyone to see, and we will be "floating" around onsite all day for anyone who wants to come and say G'Day! (Yes... Pun was intended!)

Our thanks to Bianca at Nutrien Albany for allowing us to be a part of this spectacular event, and we hope to see some current and new customers on the day!!

Matt and Richie’s job on Thursday was to transport this Bourgalt Air Cart from Kelmscott to Afgri Albany. With an overall cart length of 13m it was definitely a quad float job. With a Bin capacity of 700 Bushels, it’s definitely the biggest 1 we have seen, yet this model has 2 bigger brothers at 1000 & 1300 Bushels. If you require a cart at this capacity see the boys at Afgri Albany, they’ll get you sorted👍👍👍

Its still a few months away from Harvest time, but the agricultural sector is starting to ramp up again with gear being moved all around the state. Today, Dan and Dave along with Pilot Richie transported this New Holland header from Mount Barker out to Frankland.

It’s been a busy few months delivering airseeders & tractors around the great southern region and beyond, with farmers ramping up for the new seeding season.
We have 2 trucks set up for Towed Agricultural gear along with accredited pilots. If you need anything towed or floated from A to B with no fuss, give us a call.

With Rick behind the wheel of our K104 and Richie up front as pilot, this CAT D8T Dozer was picked up from WESTRAC Albany and delivered to Chillinup Rd Kojaneerup over the Easter long weekend.

Jesse was on this Job to pick up a Forestry Spec CAT 336 with Waratah tree harvesting head, used for dropping pine trees........Big Pine trees. Andrew got the job of loading her up on our drop deck quad float.

Long slow haul today, Albany to Esperance with this 6m wide air seeder bar. Took just shy of 11hrs but got there safe & sound.
