Tomorrow, we’re not just opening a new space.

We’re opening up more possibilities for participants.

The Therapeutic Support Community Access Evidence Hub officially opens its doors tomorrow!

So, what makes the Hub different?

It’s a place where participants can have fun, connect, explore their interests and build everyday skills through meaningful activities, while creating opportunities to capture valuable observations around their functional capacity, progress and support needs.

→Create in the Art & Music Room
→Get active in the Fitness Room
→Connect through movies & games
→Explore the Sensory Room
→Build connection in the dining room
→Build skills while meaningful progress is observed and documented

And there’s another important part of the Hub:

Our Hub has an in-house Occupational Therapist who observes and captures participants’ functional capacities as they engage in activities.

This can provide meaningful insights into strengths, support needs and progress in a practical, everyday environment.

For Support Coordinators, Allied Health Professionals and families, it means community access can be more than participation. It can also provide useful evidence to help inform support planning and collaboration.

📍 68 Fern Street, Islington NSW
📅 Opening 10am tomorrow, 2 September

The doors are opening. The activities are ready. Now it’s time to bring the Hub to life.

We can’t wait to welcome you and those you support.

💜 Choosing the right support or housing option can feel overwhelming - but the right questions can make all the difference.

SIL, SDA, STA, MTA, ILO or shared living - each option serves a different purpose, and what works for one person may not work for another.

Before making a decision, start with the person:

🏡 What kind of home and environment would suit them best?

🎯 What are their current and future goals?

🤝 What level of support do they need?

💜 What gives them greater choice, control and independence?

💬 What options should we discuss with their support team?

At Therapeutic Support, we believe participants shouldn't have to fit into an available service.

The right support should be shaped around their needs, preferences and goals.

Not sure which option may be suitable? Let’s have a conversation.

💜 Don’t bend the participant to fit the support. Build the support to fit the participant.

A service can look right on paper and still not be right for the person.

The question shouldn’t be:

“How can this participant fit into the support we have available?”

It should be:

“What support can we create around this participant’s needs, choices and goals?”

That means understanding the person first—their routines, preferences, strengths, communication needs, challenges and aspirations—and adapting support accordingly.
At Therapeutic Support we create the right support for the person.
