Matt here from CMG Computers, CPanel is a feature of how your website works, this controls how your email, website etc works.
The compromise which has been made public this week, involves how many websites operate in the back end that involves your website's existence and email etc.
If you haven't seen any impact from your service, your hosting provider is hopefully helping with this and locking access to critical systems until this is dealt with.
You may not be able to access your cPanel, Wordpress or email account administration.
Please keep an eye from your hosting provider in the mean time.
Until the solution is rolled out, you may have some interruptions. Backing up your website info might need a manual help or a quick "hey provider what are you doing" email.
this issue is still evolving, primary hosting providers are locking access to cPanel and other hosting elements and if you need some adjustments to things, contact your hosting provider for this. they MAY be able to whitelist your internet ip address (if you have a static public IP) - if this means nothing to you, just wait until it's sorted because most home internet services are CG-NAT - again, if this is voodoo, just wait. it should be sorted soon.
