Renewed appeal for information on missing person Benjamin

Police are renewing their appeal for information from the public, including dashcam footage, as they continue to search for missing man, Benjamin in the State's Far North.

Ben, 40, was last seen on the Stuart Highway south of Glendambo on the afternoon of Friday 26 September. Police hold grave concerns for his welfare.

Ben is Caucasian, about 180cm tall of medium build.

He was travelling in a blue 2006 Hyundai Getz with Western Australia registration plates 1IGG659.

That vehicle was located by PolAir on Saturday 27 September in scrub about 10 kilometres off the Stuart Highway at Wirraminna.

Unfortunately, Ben was not located with the vehicle and police launched a widescale search of the dense scrub with the assistance of PolAir, SES, drones and local trackers.

Despite extensive searches and inquiries, Ben has not been located.

Police appeal for anyone travelling on the Stuart Highway between Port Augusta and Glendambo between 11am and 2pm on Friday 26 September who saw Ben’s blue Hyundai or has dashcam footage of the vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police received information from several truck drivers in the area that day who were concerned with the manner of driving of the blue Hyundai and ask these drivers to please pass on their details to Crime Stoppers.

I was attacked online yesterday by a bloke after I had been awarded jobs that he wanted.

He reckoned it's because 'I bid $50 less than he did' so I was undercutting...well, two things:

1. ..that means he was also $50 less than the next bidder. So if I he had won the job, would HE be 'undercutting' ??

He's probably not good enough at maths to work that out.

And:
2.
$50 doesn't make that much difference to a client. If our bids were that close, there's gotta be other factors.
Maybe I'm just BETTER.
With his belligerent, abusive, bullying attitude, it wouldn't be difficult.

I hardly use online freight 'platforms'. I have a pretty good, stable clientele who reckon they always call me first. Mostly because of my professional approach, reliability and thorough care for their freight.

Maybe he is a lot more dependent on sites like Loadsh*t and Fkit than I am. It must hurt him badly when he loses a job to me. Sorta bloke that thinks he's not a 'real man' if a woman comes out equal.

He reckoned my reviews were abysmal.

Look at these two proper gentlemen !
That's Handy Andy to the right, and Leigh to left, both carting grain for Baxter's...sidled over in true superhero form, flexed their pecs and gave me a hand with repositioning the baler.
Andy:'That's how it's meant to work....old school...we all help each other out'.
Leigh:'I have just the tool for the job...its not big, but it's powerful !'
Andy:'Hang on, Leigh...where's your thong?!'

THE GREAT INDI-PAC WHEEL RIDE IS ON AGAIN.

HERES A MESSAGE FROM ONE TRUCK DRIVER TO THE RIDERS:

I was carrying freight east-west last year at this time. There had been floods, the rail line was shut down, this meant the volume of trucking traffic was huge. So was the volume of caravan's and so was the volume of oversized loads. And YET, what could be more important than a bike race ?
I understand that cyclists have a RIGHT to use the road, but some of these Indipac people were just asking for anihilation:
no hi-vis or even light coloured clothing
No flashing lights
No support vehicles
No flags
No signals and
No commonsense when it came to riding at night or through the mist with NO visibility.

Your organisers have persuaded participants that this is not an EVENT in order to attempt to evade liability and to eliminate the requirement to provide insurance.
Let's make 2025 the big test:
You have a registration process, a designated start point and finish point, a start date, and a system for tracking each riders' progress. Your group has a title for the activity, which is recognised nationally, riders train for it, and there is a body of organisers. Don't try and kid anyone. It's an event. And as such, there is a requirement for RISK MANAGEMENT and MINIMISATION.

This year, if I am doing a cross-continental and I encounter the same lack of decency that was demonstrated last year, I will be using my dash cam footage to pursue charges of reckless endangerment.

You people do not just create a risk to yourselves. If we happen to run you ***s over, we get charged with manslaughter and that is a life-altering tragedy.
