DSE was established in 1994 and now operates in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. DSE is an acronym for Delivering Service Excellence and represents a commitment by management and all staff. We offer the following services;

Taxi Trucks - hourly hire for dedicated runs to support customers ON DEMAND and PERMANENT RUNS. Our range includes crane trucks, furniture pans, multi drop parc

el trucks, tautliners, flat tops, semi trailers, utes, container trucks and oversized vehicles. We can handle both local and country. Linehaul - all capital cities and major country destinations Australia Wide and we provide very competitive pricing for full semi trailers and B Doubles. Freight - we will transport long lengths, machinery, equipment, pallets and furniture; almost anything, especially big and bulky items. Our ON DEMAND QUOTING SERVICE provides customers with reliability and cost savings. This is possible due to our large network of drivers and national transport companies we interact with daily. Distribution - our centres around Australia allow DSE to receive stock, unpack containers, reload product as requested by our customers. With extra labour available to repackage or perform other functions through our boutique Warehousing and Logistic Services this service could be right for you. Here are some strategies for supporting Truck Driver Mental Health:

1. Prioritise sleep and rest: Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night, and take your mandatory fatigue rest breaks.
2. Watch what you eat: Plan a balanced healthy diet every day.
3. Engage in regular physical activity: Find time for exercise, even if it's just a short walk.
4. Practice stress management techniques: Try mindfulness, meditation, or deep breathing exercises.
5. Stay connected with family and friends: Make an effort to communicate regularly with loved ones.
6. Get close with your DSE Operations buddy: Talk to your supervisor regularly about how you are going ad what’s happening in your life
7. Seek professional help: Don't hesitate to reach out to a therapist, counsellor, or other mental health professional if needed.

How did Josh get started in the industry?
Josh began his career over 12 years ago as an offsider and has stayed hands-on in the field ever since.

What kind of experience does Josh bring to the role?
With more than a decade of on-the-ground experience across every Australian state, Josh brings a wealth of practical knowledge and insight from all corners of the country.

What are some of Josh’s interests outside of work?
He’s a gym ju**ie, a KFC fan, and a passionate supporter of the Sydney Roosters. When he’s not working, he’s probably outdoors — camping, fishing, or soaking up some fresh air.

What’s something people might say about Josh’s personality?
He’s down-to-earth, hard-working, and always up for a laugh — someone you’d definitely want on your team.

This month, we're proud to introduce Steve, our longest-serving Linehaul driver – with over 15 years on the road with DSE!

What keeps you going?
Being on the open road and the variety of destinations I get to experience. Being able to provide great customer service.

Favourite route?
Going home... only kidding! I like going everywhere. Exploring different routes around Aus keeps it interesting.

Any advice for new drivers?
Take your time as it’s important to get the freight to its destination safely.

Truck cab essentials?
Clothes, food and tools.

Off-duty hobbies?
Fishing and motor bike riding.

Ed Farley is our WA Operations Manager based at Kewdale who provides our 5-star customer experience to our local Perth customers.

How long have you been with DSE Transport?
4 years this June

Why transport?
I have been in transport and its associated industries for around 30 years. I blame my dad as he said I shouldn’t be a carpenter. Add to that, we moved a lot due to my father’s work, so I learnt early how to pack up and move. It was a bit of a natural progression just never really stopped, hence my nick-name Driftwood

What is your passion/hobby?
F1 and my mini - loads of fun under the right conditions and always within the law (always!)

I follow the AFL Brisbane Lions when time permits

Favourite food?
Absolutely anything. I have never said no to a good feed, but my go to would be fish and chips, even I cannot mess that up when I cook.

Favourite holiday destination?
Last trip was Singapore, loved it. Locally, down south Dunsborough or Margaret River area. Nice down there.

Dogs or cats?
Just one dog, my fur baby runs the house. Just ask my wife.

What is your motto or some words of wisdom you would like to impart?
If you don’t know, ask as no one ever asked a silly question.
