In May, driving along the Bruce Highway, I spotted one of those “Lookout” signs pointing off the road… So I took the detour 🚐 and it led me to 📍Hinchinbrook Lookout 🇦🇺 🍃
From there, Hinchinbrook Island is right there across the channel… wild, mountainous and almost completely covered in rainforest. It’s part of Hinchinbrook Island National Park, just off the North Queensland coast, and sits within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area 🌴
I got there just before sunset, when the last light started touching the 🌄 …One of those unexpected stops that makes you glad you didn’t just keep driving ♥️✨
