So, our Thailand trip is over, and we begin the journey home. We have gathered lots of information as we begin to develop packages from Melbourne and Australia to this beautiful country.
On this trip we visited these places and left a summary of each city.
Bangkok: As the song goes, one night in Bangkok and the world’s your oyster... A bustling city full of history, culture, food, shopping and nightlife. The pace never slows down, similar to the traffic but it is a diverse and dynamic city to visit. There are temples and palaces to visit by day, along as enough shopping malls and plazas to last you well into the evening. After a long day relax at the many bars with live music and good Thai food, or for the night owls the many nightclubs that are open until all hours of the morning. Take home the famous street food vendor’s Pad Thai after a night of partying.
There are so many streets and alleyways with their hidden secrets to explore for those who are adventurous.
Pattaya: The definition of a place that doesn’t sleep with numerous business operating 24/7. Spend the day soaking up the sun along the beach, on a nearby island or for those too lazy to venture out by the rooftop pools that are found in abundance here. Hire a jet ski or hop on a boat and go snorkelling, visit the buddha carved into the mountain, or if there is bad weather there are plenty of markets and shopping malls to keep cool or stay dry. As the sun begins to set Pattaya comes alive with its Bars / Restaurants / Massage with many open well into the night if not all through the night.
Buriram / Surin: A bit quieter than the other two places, but will be abuzz of activity during the MotoGP and whenever other big events come into town. Lots of new places and buildings, with very friendly people which is generally what you will notice about the people of Thailand whenever you travel through here. The ruins around here are reminiscent of Angkor Wat as it has been heavily influenced by the Khmer people over time. For those yet to visit Cambodia, it is a nice introduction of what you can find in Siem Reap. Kudos to the designers of the Chang international circuit which gives spectators complete views of the track from the main grandstand, we look forward to watching the MotoGP compete here over the next 3 years.
Thank you, Thailand, for showing us your hospitality and beauty over the last 10 days, TSPA looks forward to brining visitors to experience what we have seen over this trip and more as we explore this amazing country.
