We’re pleased to announce that Giertz has been appointed National Warehouse Manager at State Transport.

Matt has been part of the State Transport team since August 2021, recently marking five years with the business.

Starting as a Warehouse Manager, Matt developed a strong understanding of our warehouse operations before moving into the role of Business Intelligence Manager, where he has spent the past two years helping improve the way we use data, systems and technology across the business.

Matt now steps into a national role, overseeing our warehousing operations across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

Bringing together his hands on operational experience and business intelligence expertise, Matt will focus on continuing to develop our national warehousing network through greater efficiency, technology, continuous improvement and an even better service for our customers.

Congratulations Matt on the new role. We’re excited to see you take on the next chapter of your career with State Transport.

Marvel Stadium got the State Transport treatment! 🟡⚫

For one incredible night, we turned the stadium yellow and black and put the State Transport brand up in lights.

From the big screen to the boundary, it was pretty hard to miss us!

Evie wrapping things up with one last round of interviews from the AFL Legends Game, plus a guest appearance from Mia, who had her own mission… find Dusty for a photo. Mission accomplished, although she may have knocked a few people out of the way getting there!

A pretty proud moment seeing my granddaughter Evie getting amongst it at the Legends Game and interviewing some of the biggest names in footy!

What makes it even better she was given about five minutes’ notice that she’d be doing the interviews. With almost no time to prepare, she stepped straight in and did an amazing job!

And apologies to Gary Ablett Jnr… Evie may have been slightly distracted during the interview by her most important mission. Getting a photo with Dusty!

A special thank you to Hutchison and the team at SEN for giving Evie the opportunity and making her feel so welcome. It was an experience she’ll remember for a long time.

Very proud of her for jumping straight in, backing herself and making the most of a pretty special night.

And yes… she got the photo with Dusty!

Plenty happening at State Transport.

As the business continues to grow and evolve, there’s always something happening across our transport, warehousing and logistics operations.

New opportunities, business updates, improvements across our operations and plenty of work happening behind the scenes, but at the centre of it all are our people.

It’s the experience, commitment and teamwork of our people across the business that allows us to keep moving forward and continue delivering for our customers.

Here’s a quick look at what’s been happening around State Transport lately.

Forget the footy… this was serious business.

The State Transport Mascot Race hit Marvel Stadium, and from an operations perspective, there may be a few things to address at the next toolbox meeting.

Some questionable route planning, a few unexpected delays and definitely not everyone meeting their delivery window.

⚠️ Incident report required
⚠️ On-time performance under review
⚠️ Driver behaviour questionable
✅ All deliveries eventually accounted for

Thankfully, our actual transport operations run a little smoother!

No trucks, no forklifts and no GPS , just a group of mascots trying to achieve one very important KPI.
