Alan (and Janelle) Hale are extremely pleased to announce that after 26 years in the Bus and Coach industry, that we have sold our company Northlander Pty Limited trading as Northland Coach & Travel.

Over the years we have travelled to all points of Australia and taken groups to Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, Canada & Alaska, New Zealand and all through Europe on our River Cruise.

Our fleet of coaches over the years would have travelled a gazillion kms! If only we had kept a record of them.

We calculated over the 26 years we have employed over 130 Clarence Valley/Northern Rivers locals. Our count of Coaches, Buses, Mini Buses and cars has well exceeded 120.

A heartfelt thank you to all our travelling customers who supported us in our Tour work. We have so many memories and loads of photos.

To our Schools, Social and Sporting groups, thank you for allowing us to carry out your travel charters.

To our staff, past and present, you'll never know how much we have appreciated you. Your loyalty, commitment and dedication hasn't gone unnoticed.

For now Alan and I will take a big deep breath, some well earned sleep ins, conversations without telephone interruptions, catching up with friends old and new and spending some quality time together and with our family.

To our own family John, Mitchell and Jodi thank you for loving and supporting us over the years even though we missed out on a lot of your childhood. Your help washing coaches at midnight, the late night transfers with coaches that we made a family outing, the numbers of grandparents you inherited - all part of your childhood memories. To your subsequent partners Alicia, Rachael and Isaac, I bet you never thought your initiation into our family would involve a broom, bucket or cleaning windows! The next generation of the Hale family, our grandchildren know no other life than seeing us working with the Coaches. We love you all and thank you for your love and help to us over the years.

To Brad & Cheraz Barker who have purchased our business, welcome to the Clarence Valley and thank you for continuing to run Northland Coach & Travel. We wish you all the best for the future.

Just remember to tuck the Coaches in each night and pamper them!

Happy Anniversary to us.
Today marks 25 years of Northland Coach & Travel and we are pretty darn proud of ourselves.
We've seen a lot happen in the business world over this time including the GFC and Covid among other things and we've still managed to come through the other side.
So here's a cheer to us with a big thank you to our family, friends and most importantly our staff.

Northland Coach & Travel are looking for 2 x suitable persons to work with us on our Assisted School Travel Program runs.
The position title is Assisted Travel Support Officer and your role is to care for children who may have disabilities -intellectually or physically, while our driver takes them to and from school.
You will need a Working With Children Check for Employment. Will need to be available during school terms. Hours are roughly 7.30 am to 9.30 am, then between 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm depending on the run.
You will be sourced by Northland Coaches however you will an employee of the Department of Education.
The applicant would need to live in and around Grafton.
