6-9 May 2026 - Kenilworth Campgrounds
A beautiful spot camping by the Mary River. The place has Portaloos throughout the grounds plus at the office they’re a hot showers, one dollar for three minutes and more toilets. Wood is available to purchase.
It’s close to the town where we tested the famous coffee in the doughnut. I had a hot chocolate. It was delicious, and we also experienced the cheese at the Kenilworth dairy.
We did a trip to the Conondale National Park and enjoyed a visit to Mapleton, Montville, and Maleny where we shopped and ate.
On my birthday we went in to the Eumundi markets and had dinner at the Kenilworth pub. 
Unfortunately, when we left Tin Can Bay, Murphy struck but not us this time but our beautiful friends Mark and Trace. They lost a wheel off their caravan and had to crawl into Gympie where they were able to get another tyre. This is just the short of the story. Murphy also struck them again with their fridge not seem to be working when we got to Kenilworth. As Mark had a really bad toothache and had to go to Brisbane the next day, they decided to pack up and go to Brisbane where they could get the tooth fixed and sort out why the fridge wasn’t working. The fridge was working on power but we were unpowered. So we lost our friends from that point onwards as they are heading further down south. I don’t know how they did but they both still had a smile on their faces. Real troupers.
