🇫🇷🇩🇪🚢 Another fabulous day on our Swiss Peaks to Dutch Streets Escorted Rhine River Cruise!
Today we wandered the magical streets of Strasbourg, France and honestly... it feels like someone dropped a fairytale right in the middle of Europe! ✨
With its colourful half-timbered houses, flower-filled canals and charming little laneways, it's no wonder Strasbourg is known as the "Capital of Christmas" and home to one of Europe's most beautiful old towns. Our fun local guide filled us with fascinating stories before we enjoyed a little... okay, maybe a LOT... of shopping! 🛍️😂
Yesterday we explored the legendary Black Forest, Germany, the region that inspired many of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. 🌲🕰️ We watched a traditional cuckoo clock demonstration, saw the incredible art of glass blowing, and, of course, sampled the world-famous Black Forest Cake. Research purposes only, obviously... 🍰🤣
Meanwhile, our floating home, the beautiful Viking Freya, continues to spoil us rotten. The food is so good that the official dress code has quickly changed from "smart casual" to "elastic waistbands encouraged!" 😆🍷🍽️

We made it to the boat! 🎉🚢
Yesterday our next adventure officially began as we boarded the beautiful Viking Freya, setting sail from Basel and making our way to Amsterdam, where we'll arrive next Wednesday! 🇨🇭➡️🇳🇱
The day started with Swiss trains, a mountain of luggage, plenty of laughs, and a few hilarious moments getting everyone (and every suitcase!) to the right place. Somehow, we made it all with smiles on our faces! 😂🧳🚆
Our first dinner onboard was absolutely delicious, followed by a fantastic evening filled with great company, lots of stories, and even a little dancing! 💃🕺🥂
One day down, so many incredible memories already made, and an amazing river cruise adventure still to come. Europe, you're turning it on for us! ❤️✨

🇨🇭🏔️ WOW... what a day of adventure! 🤩✨

Yesterday we conquered the incredible Jungfraujoch – The Top of Europe ❄️🚞, standing at an amazing 3,454 metres above sea level with some of the most breathtaking mountain views you could ever imagine. 😍🏔️

The journey was just as spectacular as the destination, with beautiful Swiss railways, famous cogwheel trains climbing through the mountains 🚂, and more cable cars than we could count 🚠😂, each one giving us another "WOW" moment over the stunning Alps.

We also explored gorgeous Grindelwald 🏡🌸, one of Switzerland's most picturesque alpine villages, surrounded by dramatic peaks, green meadows and postcard-perfect scenery. It's easy to see why people fall in love with this place! 💚🇨🇭

There may have been a tiny moment where we almost got lost... 🤣🤷‍♀️ With so many trains, platforms and cable cars, we weren't entirely sure if we were heading to the Top of Europe or halfway across Switzerland! 😂 But somehow we all made it back together, proving that every great adventure needs a little bit of excitement.

And can we just say... we absolutely LOVE our little village of Wengen! ❤️🏡 Nestled high in the mountains with no cars, charming chalets, flower boxes everywhere and the most incredible views, it's like stepping into a real-life fairy tale. Every time we come back, it feels even more magical. ✨🌸🏔️

To top off an unforgettable day, we shared an amazing dinner with fantastic company, enjoying delicious local Swiss food, plenty of laughs, and swapping stories from another incredible day of our adventure. 🫕🍷🥰

Switzerland, you are absolutely spoiling us, and we are loving every single minute of this adventure! ❤️🏔️🇨🇭

🇨🇭✨ Day 2 of our Swiss Peaks to Dutch Streets Adventure! ✨🇨🇭
What an incredible day exploring the beauty of Switzerland! ❤️
We started in amazing Lucerne, taking in the breathtaking Chapel Bridge, a true Swiss icon that has stood proudly since 1332. With its picture-perfect setting, it's easy to see why it's one of the most photographed landmarks in the country.
Then it was all aboard the scenic train to Wengen, where every turn revealed postcard-worthy mountain views. 🚆🏔️
Next stop was the magical Lauterbrunnen Valley, home to an incredible 72 waterfalls! The towering cliffs, charming village atmosphere, and cascading falls made for an unforgettable experience. 💦🌿
Another day filled with spectacular scenery, plenty of laughs, and wonderful company. Switzerland, you continue to amaze us! 🇨🇭✨

🇨🇭 WOW, Switzerland... you've absolutely taken our breath away! ❤️🏔️

Day 1 of our Swiss Peaks to Dutch Streets adventure and our wonderful group of 16 hit the ground running in stunning Lucerne – no time to rest when there's so much beauty to discover!

✨ We cruised across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Lucerne, passing picture-perfect villages and postcard-worthy Swiss homes. 🚂 Then it was all aboard the famous cogwheel train to the top of spectacular Mount Rigi, with breathtaking panoramic views that words simply can't describe. 🚠 To top it all off, we glided back down by gondola before enjoying an amazing group dinner filled with laughter, great food and even better company.

What an unforgettable first day... and the adventure is only just beginning!
