Just letting everyone know if you have wooden boat project and want to save some money on labour etc we can help coach you through the process, you get involved with hands on skills.
We have a workshop shed that can handle up to 12m long x 3.5m beam by 3.5m high vessels, you can come and work on your own boat under cover with our expertise knowledge.

So if you or you know someone that this could suit, please contact us

VALE Ron Heddle

We want to acknowledge the sad passing of our mate and dear friend Ron Heddle, known widely throughout the boat building industry in Tasmania and a local of Kettering. Our sincere condolences to his partner Patty, and all of Ron's children. Ron has been a part of James' life since 1987 and became a good friend to us both over the years. We will miss your visits to the yard Wag.

Happy new year to all, just having a workshop cleanup and found these keel cooling pipes and bronze brackets I’m hoping to sell them for $250 rather than scrap them.
The pipes are 3m long, 19mm diameter, 1”1/2 fittings and bronze holders, the other bronze brackets are brand new to suit 1”1/2pipe.
So if anyone knows anyone that might need them please share

We have finished Mermerus, she is all painted, looking very splendid, all credit for the paint job go to the owners of this fine little vessel, the day she was relaunched it was a very cold Hobart September day.
We are currently repairing and rerigging her Aluminium mast

Just some update photos of Mermerus a H 28 built 1951 in celery top pine, all glass resealed, anchor winch and chain locker installed, all hoses on engine replaced, new engine mounts, shaft and propeller, all damaged or rotted timber replaced. Topside filled and sanded.
