Proud to be part of something this big.

The 60th Anniversary Cairns Black Marlin Tournament is almost here, bringing together boats, crews and anglers for one of the biggest events on the game fishing calendar.

For Mauna Kea, this one means a little more.

Twenty years after winning the 40th Anniversary tournament, we’re heading back north to be part of the 60th.

20 years later, we’re heading back.

First launched in Queensland in 1994 as Aquila, Mauna Kea has spent more than three decades doing what she was built for — offshore game fishing.

In 2006, Mauna Kea took out the 40th Anniversary Cairns Black Marlin Tournament.

Now, in 2026, we’re heading north to do it all again for the 60th Anniversary Cairns Black Marlin Tournament.

A lot has changed in 20 years. The chase hasn’t.
