Spending a week away in our van over Xmas! Makes us realise how much we miss being on the road. Spent the first couple of nights with family on our niece’s property near Toowoomba. Then onto Lake Somerset for a night and finally a few nights at Kenilworth. Trying to beat this extreme heat has been a challenge. And now we’re cooped in our van riding out midday storms!!! It’s crazy!!

After a big week back at work we thought it would be remiss of us not to check out the local establishments in our new hometown of Gladstone for the next few months or so. First stop, Wards brewery. Some nice beers here that will bring us back for more for sure lol 👍🏼🍻🍻

Spent a night at a free camp on the Calliope River before we headed into Gladstone. Was a great spot and you need to be fully self contained. We stayed on the Northern side which is a little nicer than the southern side in our opinion. 👌🏼🐊

Wow!! We can now see what all the hype is about at this “resort”. Such an awesome park with the most amazing facilities! Swim up pool bar and pool area is fantastic. So many adult and kid options and activities here! Quick couple of nights here to catch up with family and friends on our way up north to Gladstone to see friends and stop and do some work for a couple of months.

Sooooo we’ve crossed back into Qld from the NT. Back home to the Gold Coast to visit family for a few weeks! 👍🏼🥰
