Originally from Sydney, but I've been visiting Forster–Tuncurry before I could walk. Like so many others, I quickly fell in love with the area. Every year, Mum and Dad would bring us here for family holidays, and Dad and I spent many happy days fishing on Wallis Lake fishing, especially around "The Cut."
Sadly, both of my parents have passed away, and we scattered their ashes from the Forster Break wall—a place that will always be special to our family.
For more than 15 years, I've continued the tradition by bringing my own family here to surf, fish, and enjoy everything the region has to offer. Seven months ago, we made the move from Hervey Bay to Tallwoods Village and haven't looked back.
Today, I'm proud to operate our local family business, Adams Rides Forster Tuncurry, where I enjoy meeting locals, visitors, and new residents while providing airport transfers to Newcastle and Port Macquarie Airports.
Forster–Tuncurry is much more than where I live—it's where some of my happiest childhood memories were made, where my parents are remembered, and where my own family continues to create lasting memories. While I know it takes time to earn the title of a true local, after a lifetime of visiting, many years of holidaying here, and now proudly calling the area home, I'd like to think I'm well on my way.
