Major Refit | Lightning

After arriving at Quayside with significant marine growth and an extensive scope of works ahead, Lightning has officially returned to the water following 16 days on the hardstand.

The refit included new main engines, a full jet rebuild, generator replacements, extensive electrical and fabrication repairs and upgrades, a fresh antifoul system and much more.

A huge project brought together by a great team, with plenty happening behind the scenes to get Lightning back in the water.

A special thank you to all of our trades, contractors and crew who played a part in making this project a success. 👏

QUOKKA | 5 YEAR SURVEY ⚓️
Quokka was recently lifted at our Exmouth facility to undergo her scheduled 5 Year Survey requirements.
From vessel lifting through to ongoing maintenance and survey support, our Exmouth facility is equipped to support vessels through all stages of their maintenance requirements.
Another successful project completed and another vessel back in the water. 🌊

Red Dog | Australian Marine Services

We recently welcomed Australian Marine Services Red Dog to our Exmouth yard for a quick turnaround docking before heading back to Dampier.

Our team completed:
- Pressure wash
- Antifoul application
- Propspeed application

Check out one of the latest vessels to visit our Exmouth Support Base – SV Nereida! ⛵🌊

This was a particularly special visit for the Quayside team.

If you haven't heard of Jeanne Socrates before, she's the first and oldest woman to complete a non-stop, unassisted solo circumnavigation of the world, it was a pleasure to welcome Jeanne and Nereida to our yard!

During her visit, our marine mechanics carried out fault diagnosis and assisted with mechanical repairs to help continue her journey to the Kimberly’s.
