The Lachlan Valley Railway is returning to Sydney and the Central Cost for one weekend, and you're invited!
This June Long Weekend, join the LVR as we celebrate the return to service of our GM loco 4906. Our 49er will team up with a stable mate 47 class and special guest 4836 for a day out on the “Short North” as far as Wyong. Enjoy the gorgeous waterside runs through the lower reaches of the Hawkesbury River, alongside Mullet Creek and past the Brisbane Water.
You can take the option to alight at Woy Woy for a cruise with Central Coast Ferries across the beautiful Brisbane Water for the famous “lunch at the Davo” - a delicious 2-course lunch Davistown RSL Tidewater Restaurant (a $50 surcharge on the ticket fee applies for this option, which includes the ferry ride and your lunch). Then cruise back to Woy Woy for the return trip....
Or stay on board with us to Gosford (one pub across the road from the station) or Wyong (two pubs across the road for the station) for refreshments and perhaps a counter meal....
Bar service, tea/coffee and snacks are available on board the train. Choose between open saloon or compartment seating.
Departing on Sunday, 7 June, this train will pick up passengers at Central, Strathfield or Hornsby.
Tickets are $99 for an adult ($149 if you choose Woy Woy), $89 for a concession ($139 if you choose Woy Woy), or $49 for a child ($99 if you choose Woy Woy).
🎟️ Tickets are limited — don’t miss out!
