Darwin Port was proud to be among many of the valued partners supporting this year’s Casuarina Academy Clontarf Foundation Bush Run. The 2026 event brought together more than 120 young men from 11 academies across the Top End for an afternoon of connection, participation, and achievement.

Representing Darwin Port in the 4km run was our Sustainability & Project Approvals Lead, Anna Wilkins, who swapped her steel caps for sneakers and joined academy members, Parliamentarians, partners, and supporters giving it their all, running in full spirit of the event.

The Bush Run continues to be a fantastic opportunity to encourage healthy lifestyles, promotes fun competition, whilst empowering the boys, and all involved, to put their best foot forward.

A big congratulations to the Clontarf Foundation and all participants, organisers and supporters who helped make this year’s event the biggest yet. 🏃‍♀️🖤❤️💛

Darwin Port continues to play an important role in facilitating the export of critical minerals, with lithium products currently being stockpiled at Darwin Port ahead of their international journey.

Export customer Core Lithium is currently bringing two lithium products to Darwin Port for stockpiling and export. The primary product, spodumene concentrate, is a key raw material used in the production of electric vehicle batteries and lithium-based chemicals.

A secondary product, lithium fines, provides an additional export pathway and is used in battery manufacturing, as well as the production of ceramics and glass due to its high silica content.

As global demand for critical minerals continues to grow, Darwin Port remains committed to supporting Northern Australia’s resources sector by providing efficient and reliable trade pathways to international markets.
