Kappeln/Hamburg/Karlsruhe. EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG and Wallaby Boats GmbH today celebrated the christening of the Impulse offshore transfer vessel at the Port of Kappeln in the presence of Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr Robert Habeck.

Both companies jointly launched the vessel, which features a new type of suspension system. It allows technicians to safely access offshore wind turbines even in heavy seas and is more economical than previous transfer vessels. EnBW purchased the vessel to access its Baltic 2 offshore wind farm. From May, it will take the first employees to their workplace at sea.

Congratulations to Wallaby Boats, who have successfully launched the first WB-18 CTV in Germany. This will be the first vessel with the Nauti-craft suspension technology in the water for commercial use.

The official Christening Ceremony will take place in Kappeln, Germany, on the 22nd of April, 2024.

Nauti-Craft, a pioneering company in marine technology, is proud to announce its new partnership with Yokohama Engineering Works of Japan, bringing innovation to the Japanese boating industry.

The second vessel of this model, built by Nauti-Craft for Yokohama Engineering Works, has been shipped from Dunsborough, Australia, to Japan, heralding a new era for the Japanese boating market. Yokohama will use this boat as a demonstrator while planning to set up production facilities to build fibreglass and aluminium boats in Japan under license.
