When we have some team members celebrating milestone work anniversaries we like to show them our appreciation a little differently to every other day.

A big shout out to Ahmad Ali (10 years), Huy Nguyen (15 years), and Faafetai Petaia (20 years) who celebrated some big milestones recently at our Altona facility.

Site Manager, Dennis Doll, also recognised Trudi Knight (accepted by Stan Gelastopoulos) and Ivica Budimir for their hard work and demonstrating The Silk Way and Silk Values in the workplace!

Fun fact: Silk's Altona warehouse is the biggest in the network at over 44,000 sqm - that's one way to get your step count up!

Silk is thrilled to have been awarded Expeditors Service Provider of the Year 2022, for Melbourne, Victoria!

In what was one of the most challenging years in the industry, it is an honour to receive this recognition, and it’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Port Logistics team. Josh Boyd, General Manager Port Logistics, said, “I am extremely proud of the passion and dedication of the team to our customers and the business.”

Silk has been a logistics supplier partner of Expeditors for over 5 years. The Victorian Port Logistics team received this award based on operational and customer service excellence, as voted by the local Expeditors team.

This award reflects our commitment to providing the best possible service to our clients. We're proud to be recognized as a leading service provider, and we'll continue to work hard to maintain our reputation for excellence. Thanks to our clients for their support, and thanks to Expeditors for this incredible honour.
