🚨 PLANNED BURN – Dryander National Park 🚨
The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a planned burn in the Double Bay and Georges Point section of Dryander National Park between Tuesday 26 August and Friday 7 September 2025, weather permitting.
👉 Smoke may be visible in surrounding areas during this time.
👉 Please follow all signs, barriers, and directions from Rangers.
👉 Never enter closed areas and avoid driving through smoke where possible.
Planned burns are an important part of land management. They:
✅ Reduce the risk and intensity of bushfires
✅ Support ecological health and biodiversity
✅ Protect communities, infrastructure, parks, and forests
