Western AG, in partnership with Nufarm, has invested more than $100,000 into a community defibrillator campaign, helping improve access to life-saving equipment across regional Victoria and South Australia.

As part of the initiative, 14 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) have been installed at silo art locations throughout the Yarriambiack Shire Council, West Wimmera Shire Council, Buloke Shire Council and Hindmarsh Shire Council areas.

For every minute defibrillation is delayed, a person’s chance of survival from cardiac arrest decreases by around 10%. In Victoria, 63% of cardiac arrest patients who were first shocked using a public AED survived in 2024–25.

For regional communities, having this equipment readily accessible can make a critical difference when every minute counts.

Western AG Regional Manager Mark Hoffman and Nufarm Business Development Manager – Crop Protection Lucy Mychael recently joined Yarriambiack Shire Council Deputy Mayor Corinne Heintze and Councillor Kylie Zanker at the Sheep Hills Silo Art site to recognise the initiative.

A shared investment in the safety and wellbeing of the communities where we live, work and do business.

A look forward to the future 🌱

Western AG’s Next Generation Farmers Day brought together the next generation of agriculture for a day of learning, industry insights and connection.

From conversations around a future without paraquat and new herbicide technology, to understanding subsoil acidity and getting behind the scenes at Goldacres, there was plenty to take away from the day.

Thanks to our speakers, hosts and everyone who joined us and made the day a great one!
